Commitment to Diversity
Young Conaway has a long-standing commitment to recruiting, promoting and retaining a diverse workforce. The firm is a family of professionals from various religions, races, political ideologies and backgrounds, fostering an environment of acceptance and encouragement.
Internally, Young Conaway actively seeks to further this commitment through its Diversity Committee, and the implementation of focused mentoring and professional development initiatives for its diversity workforce.
Externally, Young Conaway evidences this commitment through its support of and participation in recruiting programs, associations and organizations whose mission it is to enhance diversity in the legal profession and the community. The firm is proud to be an active organizational member of the Delaware Minority Job Fair and its Planning Committee, and to have hosted the Fair in 1998, 1999 & 2004. In accordance with the Job Fair’s rotational cycle, Young Conaway expects to be hosting the Job Fair again in 2010. Each of the Firm’s last two fall associate classes have included a graduating student hired through the Job Fair.
